Kiko Navarro
A pioneering figure in the Balaeric House movement, Kiko Navarro has been captivating dance-floors across the globe for almost three decades. Obsessed from an early age with the more soulful side of US House music, Navarro’s DJ skills soon attracted the attention of nightlife behemoth Pacha who offered him club residencies both in Palma and in Ibiza. Next came a monthly gig at Space Ibiza and the rest, as the say, is history. In the years since, Kiko has journeyed from London to the Far East several times over, playing festivals such as Southport & Southern Soul as well as iconic clubs like The Egg (London) and Cocoon (Frankfurt).
Underpinned by his obvious devotion to House music, Kiko Navarro’s love of afro-latin sounds has been evident in his feel-good, dance-floor oriented productions since the beginning. Featuring Grammy nominated vocalist Concha Buika, ‘Sonando Contigo’ was his breakthrough hit in 2007, garnering more than ten million views on YouTube. Since then Kiko has released music on Local Talk, King Street Sounds, BBE and Osnlade’s Yoruba Records, gaining support from global influencers such as Gilles Peterson and Jeff Mills. Gathering plaudits from across the music community, Kiko Navarro’s brand new album ‘Everything happens for a reason’ displays each nuance of this exciting artist’s dazzling musical palette in vivid color.
